held on two consecutive days 2x 4h
from 10am – 2pm
This course is designed for beginners that want to have a go on the pottery wheel. You will be introduced to the art of wheel throwing and will be making your first vessels.
On the first day you will learn how to open the ball of clay on the wheel and pull up a cylinder and alter the shape to make a vessel.
On the second day you will trim the bottom of your vessels and finish the shape.
The finished pieces will be left to dry completely and then be fired. Once they have been fired for a second time they are ready for everyday use – dishwasher and microwave safe.
