Wheel-Throwing Introduction
Curious about the potter’s wheel? This 3-hour introductory workshop is the perfect first step. You’ll get a hands-on experience of throwing clay on the wheel and discover the essential techniques that potters use.
During the session, you’ll learn how to prepare and center the clay, open it up, and start pulling the walls to form a simple vessel. The focus is on the process rather than the product – giving you the chance to feel the rhythm of the wheel and experience the magic of shaping clay for the first time.
Please note that the pieces made during this workshop will not be kept or fired. Instead, this session is designed as a practice-based introduction, ideal if you want to try out wheel-throwing before committing to a longer course.
